- Colorectal Cancer Screening: This can include fecal occult blood tests (FOBT), fecal immunochemical tests (FIT), stool DNA tests, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy to detect colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps.
- Prostate Cancer Screening: This often involves a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and digital rectal exam (DRE) for men, typically starting at age 50, although the decision to screen should be individualized based on risk factors and patient preferences.
- Lung Cancer Screening: This involves low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) scans for adults aged 50 to 80 who have a history of heavy smoking and are currently smokers or have quit within the past 15 years.
- Skin Cancer Screening: Our providers may perform visual skin examinations to detect signs of skin cancer, particularly in patients with risk factors such as fair skin, history of sun exposure, or family history of skin cancer.
